As if they are narrating their own lives. Describing in real time, their motivations as they attempt to bring them into being. When done with anchor of habit, these actions can occur with a flourish. Appearing as a well rehearsed dance, the story and the actions are indistinguishable. Without the habit, it is like looking at a child try to get an unruly dog to obey. The commands are spoken but neither the child or the dog can be said to be in charge.

The current world is the result of time and combinatorial events. That idea should should not be controversial. Over time single celled life evolved into multicellular life, which consumed and was consumed by other life and even minerals. All the while the clustering of these life forms gave advantage and provided opportunity that would not be possible for individuals without the group.

We do not know where every phrase originated from or where every word had it’s origin. It is compelling to think that the world has an order. A hierarchy that lays down from the highest point to the lowest the rules. Like a ball rolling down hill. But for all the wealth and power in the world, there are still a few surprises. Mostly though, wealth and power win.
